Turn it green!

Dear spouses, if you appreciate nature we suggest you take care about sustainable practices. Green weddings are not so complicated to organize and minimize the environmental impact of your event.

 

The addition of sustainable and eco-friendly elements on your wedding day does not compromise the chosen style nor amplify the costs. Eco-friendly invitations, glass and porcelain rental, waste minimization are just a few ideas. 

 

The paper can be easily replaced by an electronic invitation, however if you are traditionalists and do not want to give up on material support, then the advice is to use only recycled paper. Reusable and non-polluting products such as plastic, greatly reduce the environmental impact: do not forget, in fact, that additives such as plasticizers, stabilizers, dyes, etc. contaminate irreparably our planet and for this reason they should always be avoided. As for the minimization of waste, what to say: less people, less garbage, then shortening the guest list will be another necessary step to make your wedding even greener and environmentally friendly. 

 

After the reception do not forget to donate what is left: flowers, for example, might be donated to local hospitals, while custom backdrops and other decorations might be left to theater groups.

 

One last tip: if you really care about the health of our planet, you could skip the wedding favors and make a donation to an environmental charity.
